What degrees are best suited for applying for a federal agency?
I'm currently in the military. I have been through alot of tactical training with all kindz of weapons and other types of combat training. More advanced than the typical infantry personell. I'm looking to become a part of a federal agency (not sure wich one) and was wondering what type of degree I should go for. I was looking at the bachelors of arts in homeland security. Would that be a good choice. Also I hold a secret clearance and was wondering if that helps or not. I know that it not uncommon for people to have that clearance.

A Bachelor's degree is required for federal special agent positions (very few exceptions) and the maximum age is 37. Any major is acceptable, but CJ, Computer Science, Sociology, Accounting, or Psych may stand you in better stead for most positions.
