My foundation goes on cakey even with primer?

i use the sheer cover base perfector it goes on smooth, but my foundation still goes on cakey! i even mix it with moisturizer sometimes bu then i end up 2 oily. its the sheer cover base perfector. I also use a sunscreen but its oil based(jojoba seed oil) but i do set it with powder, however when i get red i can feel my sunscreen melting(do i need an oil free 1) And i was thinking Benzoyl peroxide to treat my acne bu wouldnt that make me more red

Use an all natural foundation in a liquid or cream form. That will go on your skin very easily, do the job of a concealer and foundation, and not go cakey. You should set it with a foundation or veil, though... More

Try a new one because it may have just dried out over time and make sure to wash your face first.

Use a water based foundation, it will go on much smoother and blend easier. Be sure you are matching your skin tone to the foundation as close as possible. I personally don't like the powder foundation because it makes my skin look dry and it doesn't look as 'real' as the water based foundation does. There are Olay... More

You should switch to a liquid to make it less cakey looking. if you don't want to then here is the next option! Get an oil free moisturizer to decrease the chances with oily skin. Try a damp sponge to apply your foundation. It'll literally change it!
