My mate put the phone down on a job interview?

He is 20, and on the dole,he applied for a virgin media customer service advisor position, they rang him up for a telephone interview and asked him the question ' whats the best piece of work he had ever done ' how the f**k is that relevant information when your applying for a customer service job, its no wonder people cant get jobs in the uk! will virgin media tell jobseekers allowance he's messed up the application.

Perfectly legit question - they want to know how he is working with people or on a job. Most people would take that opportunity to brag about how they helped a customer through a hard spot, how they thought fast on their feet to solve a problem, or whatever. Interviewers are there to find the best candidates for their position. If your mate couldn't answer a question as simple as that then it really is no surprise he can't get a job. Your mate sounds lazy, any job interview will ask questions like that to establish your personality and get an insight into your life, the fact he put the phone down I hope he loses his jsa as there are many people desperate for jobs without wasting interviews on people like that.
