mode of payment (of salary) in a govt. job?
i would like to know that a person who is doing a govt job(e.g; an IAS officer, or a govt. teacher or doctor etc ). how is the salary paid to them?(i have heard that in every govt job the money is transferd into the employees account, that too the account has to be a saving account, no other account is allowed, and there is only this mode of paying the salary) is it true?. kindly explain

Ya I am a doctor with Central Government in India. They deposit my salary into my account on last day of every month. This was not same a year back. then they used to pay by check.
