How can i become a car mechanic or expert at the age of 13?

I love cars and i want to become a car expert, you know, like knowing all the car parts and where they are and knowing what to do if a car has trouble, with something. i try to talk to my dad about it, but all he says is "Study Well and get a good job".

You can do it if you want, but not at 13. Not professionally, anyway. It shouldn't stop you from learning now, though. The library should have manuals on car repair, and the internet has lots of information. Google (or Yahoo) search for "how a car works", "How an engine works" and so on, and you will get basics on... You have to be 18 to be a professional auto technician. Take auto shop in high school. Go to an auto tech school then take your ase tests

being a mechanic sucks. we do hard work for little pay and have to buy tons of expensive tools. try a better career

read all you can about this topic and view you tube auto mechanics also go to pick your own parts junk yards and disassemble and assemble on your spare time
