It's alright as long as you are in front of the Engineer and not the Caboose. Note Pay is good! But may be out of town at times. But with a cell phone only seconds away. You! are lucky that he even has a good paying job!

It's not easy to maintain a relationship (in my case at least). An Engineer is gone a lot. If a work pattern does develop, it soon changes. Often, the pattern can be when an Engineer leaves the house, he doesn't know if he'll be gone 3 hours or 3 days. My old railroad was BNSF. We would say that it stood for, Better... More
