POLL FOR GUYS: Why is it hard for a guy who is depressed to admit that he is?
In my pharmacology class we were talking about people who go through depression and that women are treated more with depression then men are. Now a student in my class said that she believed that there are more men who go through depression but many of them don't want to admit it because it makes them look weak. Is that true and do you agree with that?

Pride, I think. Personally, I put up with it for 6 years before I went out to find psychiatric assistance.

because we are meant to be strong although it's proven that men are on a whole more likly to be depressed because we don't talk enough Funny in my class we learned men have more problems with depression I also agree with tish. It's probably hard for anyone to admit it

Yup your classmate is right, i'm depressed most of the time due to personal problems but I can't whine about it because for guys our lives is gonna get more and more difficult and we can't do anything about it but deal with it *cries*.
