can I use Duplicolor to paint my car and then put Rustoleum clear coat enamel over it ?

I'm repainting the trunk of my 1996 green Toyota Tercel because it has UV damage to the clear coat and paint. I was wondering if its OK to us Dupicolor paint on my car then put a coat of Rustoleum clear coat enamel because i have heard that some paints cant be mixed because they will have a chemical reaction or something. Thanks for the help :]

Best answer: do not do that, uness you want it to look even shittier than it does now in about 2 months or less. Reason: paints that are not meant for vehicle use do not have uv protection chemicals in them and will fade. You are also risking a reaction between the 2. Best to use Automotive paint. Anything else will just have side affects.
