Job application: how do you fake an interest in financial services?

I'm applying for a job in a Bank and it wants you to have a genuine interest in financial services. Obviously nobody has a genuine interest in financial services so what do I put to make it sound remotely plausible?

I work for a large international bank and was honest. They want honest people. I told them I wanted the job because of the good pay and bonuses and perks, I explained I was hard working, liked a challenge and enjoyed was willing to put 110% into it. They then gave me the job and spend 6 solid weeks training me to do it... More

do a little research on one aspect of financial services, go into the interview and throw in at appropriate times the things you have recently learnt. If they ask you about other services, just say something like you have really only foccused on this aspect but am open to other avenues.....

A sales and customer service background is more important than financial experience. Be aware it is very target driven, I mean you are asked to report your performance ot lack of almost hourly and they don't carry dead wood for long so please make sure the job is what you are looking for as it is very very stressful
