I want to become a movie/tv producer/director. How should I start?

I love movies. I mean, LOVE movies(: I wanna become a movie/tv producer/director, and I'm still in high school. I wanna do more to become one, so what should I do?

You should start making student films NOW. Don't wait till you finish high school. And look to going to a film school after graduating. If this is impossible, go to a college or university and continue making student films there, then go to film school from there... More

start making short films and stuff with your friends, post them to youtube, facebook, myspace, whatever. direct music videos, films, heck even have your own web show or something. just try and get recognised, then once you are you can start trying to direct low budget indie films, and slowly work your way up :)

I looked online for free movies and TV shows all the time. It’s hard to find what you want for free. The best thing to free is a site that you only pay once. But you get any TV show or movie in the world you get keep it for long as want. I don’t have a cable bill any more. All my friends love site to and like that... More

Get your friends together and start making short movies for YouTube. Join the theater or media club if you have one in school. Learn as much as you can about cameras, lighting, scripts, writing, editing and more. Learn about the entertainment industry and how it works. Stay in school. Earn good grades. It will help... More
