What should I drink when I go to as really nice restaurant?

I am going on a 1st date with someone I do not know very well this Friday to a nice restaurant and I'm not sure what I should get to drink. I would be totally fine getting iced tea, but is it proper etiquette to get something alcoholic? I know that I don't like wine or beer. Mixed drinks are ok and I do like liquor, but I know that would not make a good first impression. I am 26 if that makes a difference.

A medium priced glass of wine, red if you are going to eat red meat , blush, for pork and chicken, white if you are going for chicken, seafood or pasta. A medium priced pinot noir for red or pino grigio. is what I would pick for myself specifically. Good luck

Don't order anything boozy, stupid sounding, or something a kid would drink (no Long Island ice tea, no Sex on the Beach, no Jack and Coke) - just a simple cocktail - I like the suggestion above of a martini or mojito - or...
