Camp Counselor Interview Where I have to Interact with the Kids?
I have an interview today for a camp counselor job, and part of the interview is them watching me interact with the kids in the after-school program. I have experience with kids as a volunteer coach and referee, but not in this setting. What exactly are they looking for when I have to interact with the kids? I love working with kids, but I get so nervous during interviews and want to be prepared! Thanks! (:

Just try to relax. They'll probably want to see how comfortable you are with the kids, and how you handle different situations that come up. be yourself. kids need to be comfortable around others. also safety always comes first, but within reason... you cant wrap kids in cotton wool, but at the same time they may be looking for someone who can relate to children in a responsible caring manner and also keep their safety top priority. try to teach them...
