To Yahoo Toolbar users: when are you going to ask Yahoo to bring back Anti-spy to protect our computers?

Anti-spy was light years faster than its competitors, but Yahoo has reportedly discontinued it--perhaps under pressure from the greedy marketing trackers (see tracking cookies). So, is Yahoo now in cahoots with the shady spyware community & in the pockets of those who slow down & even paralyze our computers in their callous quest for a buck?

Duuuude! When did you join the Oliver Stone conspiracy club? The last malware definitions to Anti-Spy occurred about 2 months ago and then it was about 6-8 months before that. Good products get updated at least once a week and some daily. Think back a few years when Yahoo replaced Anti-Spy with the Norton Scanner... More

As you say It's been scrubbed by Yahoo.Yahoo are offering nothing to replace anti spy. Malwarebytes is the best alternativ in my opinion. Download free version from

CA Yahoo! Anti-Spy was a VERY light-weight anti-spyware app. It provided NO real-time (proactive) protection while surfing - it would only attempt to clean up a problem AFTER your machine had been compromised. There are several FREE anti-spyware apps that do a far better job - one being Windows Defender that comes... More
