When doing a resume, How far back do you post work history?

I am doing my Resume and i haven't worked since 2007. How far back do you put your work history and do you have to report work history on a resume or application if its been too long?

Because you haven't worked since 2007, I would recommend going beyond the standard 12-15 year timeframe that should be listed in detail within your work history...but ONLY if those positions are relevant to the type of job you're presently targeting. Also, I would suggest inserting what's known as a "Career Note" right... More

I mean, you can put as far back as you like, because it is still experience. No matter how far back it was

I would think that would be OK as long as you haven't had too many jobs within that time! Maybe post the last 3 or 4 jobs that are really relevant, if the job didn't amount to much, are was really a short term job then it probably doesn't even need to be on your resume!
