Depending on how long you've stayed, where and if you have done any particular mess/work for her. Basically, a rule of thumb says $2-3 for each night spent at the hotel, but it really varies. Bunny (above me) is correct: the $2-3 I have referred to is if we're talking about two people leaving a tip, not one.

I just usually leave some cash on the dresser when I leave, like maybe $10 or $20 bucks, depending on how long I stayed. What happens to it after that is not my problem- I left the tip, if one person gets it, or if it is shared among many, I really don't care, I did my part by leaving it. Good luck!... :-D

$1 per day per person but adjust up for better, fancier hotels and down for cheaper. Adjust down if you weren't satisfied with the cleanliness of the room when you entered. Adjust up if you were given anything extra from housekeeping like extra towels, extra pillows, extra toiletries, etc.
