Would I be required to go into combat if I joined the National Guard for this job?

I want to join the National Guard for lots of reasons, being the naturally patrotic and physically active person that I am. But I mainly want to develop leadership skills and get a job doing Human Resources Information Systems Management. If I got this job, would I be required to fight? Will I be stationed in War Zones and is there a possibility that I could lose my life if I take this job? (Btw, please. No stupid answers. This is a serious question.) Thanks in advance!

you need to assume that you will. if that makes a difference, don't join.

Women are not allowed to serve in "combat roles," but that does not mean you won't get sent to a forward area where you will be at risk. If you join any part of the military today, plan on being deployed to a combat zone no matter what your job is.
