Why do most people prefer expensive colleges than community colleges?

I got accepted to a really good college, but why do people aim for Harvard University when you could go to a community college, pay less and get it over with,?

Quality of education. Not always the best at a CC. Depending on what you're going to do with your life, a CC could be the smarter choice.

Because they want more from life than the bare minimum. They like to challenge themselves. They want to be the best they possibly can. If education is something you want to "get it over with", I don't know why you'd bother going to college at all.

Because people like to have a better education, and thus leading to a better life. They believe the extra cost is worth the education they get. And most believe they will earn more money after graduating to repay the debt of the university. Sometimes, CC's have better education and less tution fees, though... More
