Transporting people in my personal vehicle for work?

I am applying for a job that would require me to transport people in my personal vehicle to go to the store, doctors appointment, etc. How does this normally work? What type of auto insurance would I need?

In South Africa - Usually a job like that will require you to have a PDP - Public Drivers Permit/pass - if you have it your insurance installments decrease by 5%. I don't know about other countries though. Maybe you want to check that with your Insurance broker/company?

You're going to need auto insurance that covers passengers as in a taxi business. Talk to a good insurance agent. Thay will have the plans and costs.

Talk to your insurance agent. You will need "business" insurance for sure. Also find out if your new employer is going to pay for fuel, maintenance and added insurance coverage.
