Should I get a job in a chemical piping fabrication company?

I'm a first year chemical engineering students. I've been offered a job from a company that fabricated pipes for BASF and DOW chemical plants. I don't know if it will look good on my resume when I later apply for an engineering job.

I worked for a total of 4 years designing yard piping for Coal-Fired Power Plants. Designed fabrication systems for fly ash pipelines, bottom ash pipelines, sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water lines. There is not too much work left in this field, however because of its dependence on construction.

If it's an internship then take it; 3 months isn't going to hurt you, and the experience will definitely help you. If it's a full time/part time gig, you might want to consider how it will effect your ability to finish your classes.
