Can somebody help me with this decision?

The two options. 1. After highschool, join the air force and become an aerial gunner. Now the only thing holding me back from this one is wondering if you can choose your aircraft. 2. Join the navy after highschool and become an aviation machinist mate I think i would really enjoy this one

If you want to go Air Force you do not get what job you want, the Air Force will put you in where they need you to be. You can still ask for aerial gunner, but it is not guaranteed and it will take longer for you to get to basic if you keep denying the job they give you and wait for Aerial Gunner. Go with the second option. You would not be shot at, and it will be a good paying career when you return to civilian life.
