What would an appropriate desired rate of pay be?

I need help from anyone who can lend some advice. I am filling out an application online for a Pizza Hut Server job. It is asking me "What is your desired rate of pay?". I have no idea what to put down. Would minimum wage be appropriate, or should I put more/less? Also, this is a "required field" in the application process, so I can not skip it. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you! (:

Do you have experience doing that type of work? If so then you can ask for a little more than minimum wage but if you're looking to be a server at Pizza Hut, those jobs would be close to minimum wage. I'd put something close to $7/hour but you can google min wage for your state.

Every field on an application is a required field. Even missing one slot could cause your application to end up in the trash. What is the server rate in your state? When I was in college, it was $2.13/hour + tips Or, you could put down a yearly gross such as $20k/year
