Should I list volunteer work under past jobs when applying for a job?

I worked in a national park last year doing volunteer trail maintenance and vegetation control. We weren't paid but we were technically given a stipend for food. We had to live in tents and I pretty much consider it a job since I had to work doing manual labor for 21 days in a foreign place with people I didn't know. Should I list it as a job when I apply for a job?

Yes all volunteer work counts as work experience - the question is WHEN should you list your volunteer work on your resume... only add it if it directly applies to the job you are seeking. I wouldn't put it under past jobs but would definitely put it under other experience or would even make a volunteer experience heading to put it under. I think it might get lost under jobs.
