Doesn't the bible say only 144 thousand people will go to heaven. if so where do the other believers go?

Truth matters thanks for your answer but I think you're wrong. I just found the scriptures in revelations and it doesn't say a 144 thousand means the tribes that are going to heaven. It clearly states a 144 thousand people from the 12 tribes of Israel. It also says that these people are already chosen and sealed. So where do the rest of the believers go?

Yes. The Bible says only 144,000 go to heaven. That is because their job will be to rule as kings and priests with Jesus in God's Kingdom. Not only does it mention that number in Rev. 7:4 and 14:1 and 3. That is three times with a fourth shown in a different form. This is important symbolism... More

No it doesn't say that. Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

It says something like X number will still follow him in the end, the rest will be mislead and follow a false god. Only thing I can think of that would have that many people praising it instead of god is money....

The JWs believe this way and this is false. the 144000 are the tribes of Israel that will be witnesses during the Great Tribulation. There will be billions of people in heaven of all that ever lived on earth. I sure don't believe the way the JW's believe.

That's not quite what is said. However, following the destruction of heaven and earth as we know it, He does create a new heaven and new earth for all believers to enjoy, as well as what he has prepared for ALL His followers in heaven.

The 144000 are sealed and left behind. Read on where they are sealed so that the events of the tribulation do not harm them. Actually they are 12000 of each of the 12 tribes of Israel, Messianic Jews who have believed left behind to witness to Israel. God will never forsake Israel, as He did not forsake the... More

No. The Bible speaks of 144,000 Israelites who will be sealed for protection and set apart for evangelism for the Tribulation.

Revelation 7:4 and 14:1-5 talks of them (144,000), saying that they were ''bought from the earth,'' and then in 14:6 it talks of those who dwell on the earth. Psalms 37:10,11 explains that the wicked one will be no more and the meek will posses the earth and find delight in the peace. Does that sound like they are... More

144,000 represents completeness. It is not a limit, for good is infinite, and heaven is good.
