I think Bush's actions on 9/11 were an epic fail. Bush was not really The President, he was just a spokemodel. He'd read whatever his handlers put in front of him. Bush never understood his own opinions and positions well enough to give an unscripted interview. All his decisions were made by his staff... More

Composure in the face of adversity is a sign of strength and wisdom. Glad to see some of todays youth can recognize that.

The students in that classroom are idiots. Where was this, a classroom at Community College of the Ozarks?

The kids were 6 years old. Bush could have told them he needed to go consult with Santa Claus and they would have been fine with it.

I suspect he held his composure because he wasn't really sure what had happened and the extent of it. After all, his IQ is only 91.

All of them? Or did they just find one that said what you wanted the the kid to say? He didn't hold his composer, he just sat there waiting for his piss to dry. Couldn't he just excused himself, and tell the kids sorry, I have to take care of things now. It's part of being president. To hear conservatives tell it, he... More

His composure could have have been maintained by nicely and gently citing a pressing White House concern that required him to leave. He was after all the President. Even children can understand that a President has important things to do that might require him to leave. The country was under attack and Bush just sat... More

The funny thing is that the people who were there were all glad that Bush remained in the classroom. There was a documentary of how the government reacted on 9/11 where Bush's staff members praised him for giving them enough time to sort out the situation before he started asking them questions...
