Is mass immigration damaging the economy in the UK?

People are absolutely flocking to the UK in order to make money which saturates the market in low skilled/ building trades. Jobs and education standards are at an all time low, depression and crime is high. I understand that people want to leave poor countries but the UK is struggling with benefitism (made that up myself), joblessness and violent crime. I would like some feedback from immigrants currently living in the UK. Where are you from? What brought you to the UK?

It is not just the low skilled jobs market, it is going right through the jobs market now. I am seeing more and more foriegners taking highly skilled work. All those libbies that said it was okay for them to take jobs off low skilled people are now being inundated in their own work places too. It works just the same... More

The difference between the present and 100 years ago is the effect of the poor. 100 years ago, the poor could be exploited to make others richer. Today, they take up tax money and burden others. To be honest, both scenarios are bad, but the second has a much greater effect on nations' economies.

I think the word UK is deceiving because I am sure Ireland, Scotland and Wales do not have an immigration problem. The statistics prove that England is overpopulated. Out of a 60,000,000 population that covers Britain, 50,000,000 live in England.

Cost verse benefit, lets face it the UK is most in-debt of the G20. I would have thought (from what labour said) the UK should be rich. UK most mass immigration, UK most in debt. Any correlation?
