Medical Field Questions?

Ok so some quick background. Currently I'm a Freshman (almost Sophmore) in high school and i've already started trying to plan my career once I get out. I know I want to do something in a Medical Field, preferably as a doctor working in a hospital. But I have a few questions and if you could answer one or more of them it would be a big help. 1. What are the different jobs around a hospital? (I know this is a very broad question but I'm just asking for a broad layout of the medical community) 2. What exactly is Internal Medicine? 3. is Neurology considered a sub-specialty of Internal Medicine? 4. What exactly does someone the subspecializes in Infectious Diseases? 5. If someone specializes in a part of the body (i.e. joints, throat, etc) and they run their own clinic, is this considered Internal Medicine? 6. What kind of job would be researching new medicines? 7. If someone specializes in something and it doesn't fit into Internal Medicine, what is it catagorized as? 8. What are the different stages of school (i.e. college, med school, residency, etc.) and what does each stage entail? 9. What does the salary of an Internist look like? Thanks again guys. All this really helps. Also I have one other question. 10. What are other medical careers outside of a hospital that can be pursued?
