what to say to the hiring manager at pizza hut over the phone?

helloo,, i applied to pizza hut online and now i am planning on calling the manager to ask about the position. i am 17 and i have never ever had a job before so i am a little nervous and i dont know what to>?

I would say: Hi my name is so and so and I have recently applied online at Pizza Hut and i am calling about the status of my application and have you had a chance to review it. I am really interested in the position. Will you be doing interviews soon? I would really like the job! Hope that helps. Good luck.

When you call, say "I e-mailed an application on *date you sent it*, and was just calling to see if you had had a chance to take a look at it.

I agree I am with Luffins. Put in a paper application. Some times when you apply online it doesn't even go to the store but some area wide office for reviewing. Manager's have a ton to do, you may even get a better response if you go in. Check out this blog:
