In what way is Israel a great ally of America?
They aren't. They are just an ally and even then we often oppose them.

Why do Israelis get a "Right of Return" to a place they've never been to, but Palestinian refugees can't return to the homes they were born in?
The lands that were granted to Israel from the Ottoman Empire (there was no Palestine) had Jewish people in it. In fact, it was one of the largest collection of Jewish people in the world. However, there were also nomadic people on it. When the Ottoman Empire was broken up, they awarded part of it to the Jewish people who were displaced throughout the Ottoman Empire, because of the bigotry against them. However, the amount was decreased, then decreased again, until it was only a sliver of what was originally promised.
Now you support taking that away?
The Palestinians were refused entry into EVERY ISLAMIC NATION in the area by those nations.
Israel invited them to live there. We all know how they have been treated for that kindness. They did not, legally or otherwise, owe them that. They were granted that land after the fall of the Empire.
Why should we believe the only nuclear power in the Middle East is in constant threat of annihilation?
Because Islam MUST destroy Israel, by law. It is part of Islam that they cannot allow land that once belonged or was populated by Islam to fall into the hands of infidels. They will never give up. If someone of Islam buys the house next to you, you will NOT see it on the market again. They will sell it only to someone of Islam. The same for the businesses they buy. They borrow money with no interest. If they lose the business or home, it is still in Islamic hands. Pretty smart. But dangerous to the rest of us.
Why does Israel need "defensible borders"...but not Palestine?
Palestine is a region, not a country, and thus has no true borders.
Israel must hold the Golan Heights or they die. Without that area, they WILL be shelled out of existence. They know it, WE know it, and Islam knows it.
Why would ANY person have ANY respect for suggestions that they give up their only protection when surrounded by nations seeking their destruction?
Have you NO ethics? Or is that you fully support their destruction? That seems to the case.
Frankly, seems that you have sided with a lot of great political forces in the past.
None of which we respect as a nation.
Islam has shown itself to be a danger to every nation in this world.
Israel and every other nation that can help is in preventing Islam from attacking any one else.
Their efforts at conquest, so successful in S.E. Asia and Africa need to be stopped.
Israel is one of our best allies in that effort.
