How do you color lineart in photoshop without going outside the lines?

I know there's a way to make it so when you paint you can't paint outside the lineart. I DO NOT want the magic wand method. I know that there's another way to do it.

You can use any of the Lasso tool. But only lasso tool will give distinctive lines which prevent you from going over. The magic wand is a easier version of laso tool

By "magic wand" method I'm guessing you mean selecting the blank areas inside the line art and filling those areas... More
