What are my chances of getting into Harvard?

I am a junior this year and what are my chances of getting into the following schools: Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Dartmouth, Stanford, Cornell, Columbia, UPenn, Northwestern, Notre Dame, or Cal (Berkeley) I am in the top 3% of my grade out of over 550, numerous students and I have the same gpa so we make up the top 3%. My gpa is a 4.37 out of 4.5, the highest you can get in my school because required regular courses bring it down. My gpa unweighted out of 4.0 is around 3.95. I took the SAT and got a 1990, absolutely terrible, I took it the day that my sister was having surgery to get rid of cancer so I wasn't really feeling it. I took the AP Euro test sophomore year and got a 5, this year I took AP Spanish Lang and AP US and think I got a 4 and 5 respectively. I am going to take the ACT in June, I just took a practice test with writing without studying and got a 32. I am going to be studying and working on it so I will get at least a 34. I am taking the Spanish Sat II in June, after taking a practice test my score was a 770. I am also taking the US Sat II in June and am aiming for an 800. I am going to take the Math II and Physics Subject Tests in October next year. My math teacher gave us two packets for practice and I got an 800 and 790 on those. I also took the Math I in October this year and got a 750, I got one question wrong though. I will have played varsity football all four years of high school, and lacrosse for two. I am a member of my school's Euro Challenge and Fed Challenge teams. I am also a member of a club called Odd Jobs for Charity, we go around on the weekends raking leaves or shoveling snow in order to raise money to build wells in Africa. I also work in the summer, this summer I will have worked at my church for three years. I don't have a lot of time for other things because my younger sister has had cancer three times. So a good portion of free time is spent helping my family or other tasks since my family is always busy with her. So what do you think my chances are? Thanks for reading everything. *I am also a member of my school's National Honor Society *My English teacher from sophomore year, whose daughter went to Princeton and helped get two kids into Harvard last year, asked to write one of my recommendations. I am also going to have my history teacher who taught me freshman and sophomore year and is the teacher who runs Euro and Fed Challenge write my second recommendation.

Everyone applying to the top schools has the highest grades in the hardest classes and very high test scores. While you've got a great shot at most schools, you're an average applicant for a very top school. Harvard took fewer than 6% of applicants this year. What you need to do is find a way to make yourself stand... More
