What is the difference between a vetinarian and a vet tech?

I know that the vet is the doctor but what are the major differences in the job description? Like what does a vet tech do on a daily basis and what does a vet do?

depending on what type of veterinarian they do the actual work. a veterinary technician is pretty much an assistant. they do everything from sorting paperwork to surgery preparations and so on and so forth. :)
