What is an Electrical Maintenance Engineer?

Right well for my apprenticeship, i have scored pretty well in a problem solving tests at a local apprenticeship centre and the suggested that i might be best choosing an electrical maintenance engineer. So what i want to know is what exactly is an Electrical Maintenance Engineer and what does this job involve

This is a skilled job that may have as many as 5 years of training, both practical and academic. A maintenance engineer keeps (in your case) the electrical parts of (quite often) production machinery in good working order. It does involve a lot of diagnostics and fault finding.
