When becoming a teacher, does the national ranking of your university matter?

I am pursuing my teaching degree from a university in NC, a major in history with a minor in education. I would like to teach at a high school level and perhaps later in my life teach at a community college. So I am really placing a lot of stress as to what school I get into for pursuing this. I am almost done with my associates from the local community college. Afterwards I would like to transfer but cannot decide due to this question.
