What do you know about Texas A&M University, eh?

I'm a business major, but I want to participate or gain knowledge in fashion also to become a experience entrepreneur of a retail store in the future. I plan to be an Aggie, but I have some question about the university that I prefer to hear from the public than my useless school counselor or a busy admission counselor. If you have all the time in the world, please answer all and best as you can. :D What makes A&M so special? The popularity status of the school or the traditions it holds or the time its been around? What do you know about the Texas A&M in GALVESTON (campus, people, academics, etc.)? Is it a hard school to get in or is does UT play that role? Its just a normal college to get in with decent grades and scores right? I want to earn a Business Administration Degree; 4 years right? What do you think I should take at A&M? Do I go to a specialize school for fashion after I graduate at A&M? What have you heard of the Mays Business school? Competitive and tough admittion? How does this work; your first year of college is compose of core classes and you don't really start the courses associated with your major until junior and senior year? How many courses required it for a major in business and how many courses needed for a minor in fashion? Would all that amount fit into a semester or they usually split it into each year? I know A&M doesn't even come close to anything fashion-related (mostly an engineer population), but has anyone heard of some apparel or design courses there? Is it hard to find a part-time job on the campus? What college year can you start doing paid interning for business? Whats the cheapest co-ed dormitory that you know? Would a good internship at AIG and alot of participation in school organization top my low SAT score and B/C averages? I'm in the top quarter of my class too.
