Could not agree with you more! SOME OF THE CURRENT RULES SUCK! The push in the back is awarded too softly, and back in the 70's footy was more enjoyable to watch as it was rough and tough!

Yes footy is becoming crappy to watch and too many freekicks against will piss all the supercoach and dreamteam players out there. Should use the old rule book

I thought they burnt it every Monday morning and replaced the rules with new ones! Like the "new" dangerous tackle one ... crikey moses, that used to be rewarded back in the day, now the player making the tackle gets rubbed out! I did hear of one rule someone suggested in a sports mag in 2008, regarding the "backward... More

The AFL has to look at the interpretation of the holding the man/ holding the ball rule ? Nowadays you can take on all the tacklers be swung 360 degrees and it is still not holding the ball. ( just a ball-up on most occassions )Yet someone can grab you blind-sided from behind, and it is an automatic free ! What a load... More
