Are there a lot of computer support specialist jobs available in the market?

My mother keeps telling me that it won't be successful career. I don't want to believe her because she's always pessimistic besides she rarely does her research since she doesn't really use computer at all. How can she know if she doesn't do her research?? I've seen a lot of job positions for computer support specialist on the internet but one of my friends said its too hard to find a job for that. I don't know if its true anymore. Please tell me if it'd make a fair career!

There are a lot of jobs like that for people with experience. Getting your foot in the door is the hardest part. It's also like somebody said, it's customer service, and a lot of people quit those jobs. It's good to get some experience, but then go to system or network administration from there.
