How many noncitizen Latinos should HUD award $50,000 EHLP grants in lottery for American homeowners assistance?

Can redistribution of funds to a critical voting bloc answer embarrassing popularity ratings?

(Judicial Watch) — President Obama’s favorite La Raza group has teamed up with a federal agency to promote one of the administration’s many government cash giveaways with Spanish ads encouraging Latinos — possibly i****************s — to apply for free U.S. taxpayer dollars.

The new campaign warns Hispanics that time is running out to get up to “$50,000 in help” from Uncle Sam to pay their mortgage, past due charges, taxes, insurance and even legal fees associated with their home. The money is being disbursed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as part of a billion-dollar Emergency Homeowner Loan Program (EHLP).

In 2008 the agency revealed that some 5 million fraudulent or defaulted home mortgages were in the hands of i****************s, who obtained the loans from banks that were pressured by the government to offer them. In fact, the agency in charge of preserving and promoting public confidence in the nation’s financial system, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), began pushing banks to offer services to illegal aliens years earlier and many still do today.

It’s logical to assume that the involvement of the nation’s most powerful open borders group, the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), in promoting government-funded mortgage aid is geared, at least in part, towards undocumented immigrants. The EHLP expired but recently got extended amid record-high unemployment to help people keep their homes. The NCLR, which has seen its federal funding skyrocket since one of its top officials got a job in Obama’s White House, wants to make sure Latinos get a piece of the pie. This week it launched a Spanish-language public service campaign to highlight the program’s “fast-approaching” deadline.

“The biggest challenge now is ensuring that people know about this opportunity and take advantage of it during the short period that it is available,” according to the NCLR director who announced the campaign that will help Latinos “seize” an “opportunity.” In the ad HUD Assistant Secretary Mercedes Marquez alerts Hispanics of the imminent deadline to get their government cash and directs them to a Spanish HUD website that assures the money will be disbursed in a “fair and impartial manner.”

Last year Marquez , a strong ally of the open borders movement, awarded an NCLR affiliate known as Chicanos Por la Causa nearly $40 million in grants to “stabilize neighborhoods and rebuild economies.” And just a few weeks ago, a Judicial Watch investigation revealed that federal funding for the NCLR, which for years has raked in millions of taxpayer dollars, catapulted since Obama hired its senior vice president (Cecilia Muñoz) to be his director of intergovernmental affairs. In fact, the government cash more than doubled the year Muñoz joined the White House, from $4.1 million to $11 million. NCLR affiliates nationwide fared just as well, raking in tens of millions of government grant and recovery dollars last year thanks to the Muñoz factor.

How many non-citizens do you believe we should support with these substantial grants?
Thanks for the comment and noticing an earlier post of the Q, Nita. I changed two words since posting this legitimate, newsworthy story/question last night, but obviously, anti-American bias amongst some moderators here makes it challenging to keep critical information in the public eye. It's also less than flattering to the President for how openly favor is shown to La Raza and other Hispanic groups who support anarchy for a group they believe should face no laws in a country where millions of undocumented (yes illegal) aliens don't belong.

Several contacts & friends here appeared to be active, so I knew there would be support and dismay. Ha Ha, I'm always pleased to see you and include your contributions, and Ali, of course you're right. The news report even mentioned more than 5 million fraudulent loans and a document scandal with illegal aliens that was central to lauching the housing crisis. Does anyone believe this group of aliens doesn't work, which is also against the law?

That there's any basis for this to be considered a legitimate question indicates the depths to which we've sunk as a Republic. Our country's survival cannot withstand such foolishness as this.

The support strategically given by the left to buy votes was feared by our founding fathers and warned against by some of the brightest, most revered patriots determined to keep Democracy from falling prey to manipulative officials pandering to the people. We're too far along that disturbing continuum early in the 21st century and accelerating toward liberal, left-leaning policies, but at least some appear to recognize which Party and which leaders support fundamental change and bludgeoning of hope for increasing portions of the electorate.

We often find taunts from indoctrinated young contributors on YA! criticizing our founders and forefathers as “old dead white men”, and the messages appear laced with anger and loathing for middle-aged and beyond living white Americans who are targets of ridicule for so-called progressives. Many of the younger generation don’t get how the same strategy was used by communist revolutionaries in Soviet Russia, or the National Socialist Party of Adolf Hitler, where the indoctrinated young were turned against preceding generations and expected to play a role in the purge of anyone who dared voice dissent against the most powerful dictators of their day.

In this case, absolutely no non-citizens should be getting support of any kind, and politicians willing to misuse public funds in such a way should be removed over the disgraceful draining of the treasury for political gain. For more than 50 years now, votes for the left have supported subversion and destruction of our Democratic Republic by a remarkably manipulative, ugly, but strategic mishandling of the public treasury.

Our most pressing question may not be whether we can survive an additional four years under Obama's subversion, but whether our Republic can endure the economic destruction to make it to another Presidential election intact.

Thanks for asking this question. Obviously no one who is here illegally should get the grant or other aid paid for by American taxpayers. Unfortunately Obama will resort to buying votes any way he can.

I especially appreciate you asking this question because I lost my job after 30 years of employment and my unemployment benefits have ended. I had a part-time job for a couple of months that just ended and so I wanted to check on any resources to help me keep my home. I do not qualify for the grant because I have managed to keep my house payment current. Now if I had been irresponsible and not paid my mortgage for three months, then I would qualify to be entered into the lottery.

However, I did speak with a financial counselor who gave me many websites and referrals to help me plan for the future and the options available. Thank you.

I would say that NO non-citizens should be awarded these grants.

While the correct answer ought to be NONE, the reality will be as many as HUD wants to grant to ensure Democratic party control in the next election.

Look at the past on how various governmental agencies magically use "E-Verify", companies that have use E-Verify have been told in effect to hire an individual or multiple individuals. Later they have been informed that there was an error. If they fire that individual then E-Raza or some other groups sues the company for illegal dismissal, since the were hired.

This is true if the hiring firm is to the right of center or is in conflict with a union organizing effort as was done in IA recently with meat packing. This administration has sought to prevent states from enforcing immigration laws or even asking for proof of citizenship, so it will allow non-citizens to get grants for various purposes so long at their is a verbal agreement to support the Liberal position.

It does not cost liberals anything since spending other people's money is how they get and stay elected. Companies owner tend to be Republican so suing them to bankruptcy is a victory for liberals. Timing the destruction of a company plays well to the media at election time.

If and when a ICE raid is done on a company it will be stage with cooperation of the Media and labor unions to portray the company as not doing immigration checks, even if they were done, since the verifying bureaucracy is run by Liberal Civil Servants who know by whom their bread is buttered so the media will tar the owners of the company as hiring illegal or firing Hispanics illegal. It is a win win for the Democrats and Unions.

Perhaps the old Spoil System of Federal Employment had some advantages --- since an administration could actually change the actual workings of an agency. Now every administration has a fifth column of non-dismissible workers working against the taxpayers/voters interests.

At my company we advertised for some jobs and got hundreds of workers that applied for the jobs but instead of hiring a regular American they hired someone that was brought over on a special VISA form overseas. I heard there was many qualified applicants but they wanted to pay less so they claimed there was no qualified Americans so they could get a low paid foreigner. I think in today's economy there should be a stop of all immigration. Jobs should be for Americans in today's tough economy! Agree?

So today I went in for an interview and I was going in for the 2nd interview by the head chief executive. now this is where it got weird, so she asked me about my previous jobs and said how much she liked that product over that product. then she started talking about her daughter? an her divorce ...then how she didn't finish college because she was making more money doing what she did for this company ... then she talked about how her teenage daughter is a handful... I just played it cool thinking she was using some sort of psychology thing to trick me into saying something stupid. the interview ended and she seemed happy an I was escorted to the door... now I'm freaking confused? is this normal behavior for an executive? like it felt like she was going to burst into tears at one point and tell me her life problems... is this normal? was she trying to see how I react or something?

Basically- no degree, although I have tried completing one in the past and stopped because of physical and mental health issues which were overwhelming to deal with along with going to classes full time. I'm not stupid and I am quite articulate. I am 23 and have only worked for about two years retail in high school and stopped working to go to university. I worked a few months in 2010 retail after I dropped out but it was only a seasonal position, and the only reason why I have not been able to constantly work is because of mental health issues. I had also tried going back to community college during my free time since i left university in 2008/9 and I had panic attacks while in community college, which made my anxiety worse from then on. Well recently I met a good doctor and he prescribed me some meds that are stabilizing my moods and I feel the best I've felt in years, and I'm ready to work. Thing is, I don't know how to get a job now since I've spent literally years being depressed and anxious doing nothing. I don't really have anything to put on my resume, and I never finished my AA degree either. All I've done is cashiering and although I do the job well and I get promoted easily when I do these jobs because I'm a hard worker and I try to go above and beyond what they ask of me,which is the attitude I have no matter what kind of work I'm doing as long as I'm getting paid. But I hate cashiering because it's too easy and I want a job that is more interesting. Any suggestions for me on how to get a job that is NOT Retail with the type of background I have right now? I also realize I have to go to college to get certain types of jobs, I am talking about what I can do right here right now.

I am hard working, dedicated, maintain a very professional decorum, very cordial with my colleagues and bosses, give respect to one and all. Still people who take the p***, argue with managers, gossip mongers have been selected for some very responsible positions at work. I seriously can't get my head around it why, why unprofessional people who have no work ethics being selected over me, whereas I have a track record of excellent performance and never shy away from any work my manager ask me to do? I am at my lowest point and not getting hold of my manager to ask the question why not me, why them who can't even bother? I am feeling like a complete loser, giving years to this place, building my performance, trust and this is how I get rewarded. Why my life is so shit, anything I wish for turns to dust?

So I have a nice white button up shirt, business skirt and pants, and a suit jacket. I'm applying for a software development job and I'm very short and can look young so I'm trying to look adult, yet professional. I'm also attractive so I'm trying not to look too sexy. For the career fair I'm thinking of wearing just my nice shirt and a skirt with low heels. My reasoning being it's approachable and attractive without going overboard since the career fair hosts are mostly younger male recent grads. I want to be remembered but not intimidating. For my interviews I was thinking pants, suit jacket (power suit). My reasoning being it'll be older execs and HR people (mostly women) so less sexy with the pants but more powerful with the suit jacket. What do you think?!
