What is the best way to find a job in Pittsburgh if you are living out of state?

I graduated college in May. I have been looking for a job since January and have yet to find one. I am currently living in the Detroit area but would like to relocate to Pittsburgh. I feel that everyone blows off my application due to my out of state address. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? I have been applying to big companies such as US Steel and Highmark. My degree is in Speech Pathology/Audiology but I am willing to take a job doing just about anything. I have costumer service experience and secretarial background. Any information would be helpful.
