Should i take the opportunity working for a gas well company?

I have the opportunity to start working for Mark West which is a huge gas well company mining the natural gas in Pennsylvania. I would be started out at 20$ an hour with good benefits. The job would not be that physical or dangerous. However as of now i am employed by a family owned food business. i have been working there for 9 years and am now store manager. while my pay is only 13$ with little to no benefits. However i would see in the future (possibly 20 years or so) i would have the opportunity to take over the business. What would be the smartest option?
