Advice on taking camera film through airport security?
I know that a lot of film taken to/from the US will be damaged when going through security, and I want to know what the deal is in Europe? This summer I'll be flying from the UK to Spain, then to Germany and finally back to England, and I really don't want to end up with loads of ruined photos. I'll take all the films through hand luggage, and I could probably get a lot of it developed in Germany, although not in Spain as I won't be near any towns. The film I get is ISO 200 (the kind you get free when you get film developed in Jessops :P) and I heard that the higher ones are more prone to damage. Will it be alright? And if it won't be, is it likely that I'd be able to get them to hand-inspect them?

You will want to ask for a hand search. This is especially true of exposed film. If you find that you cannot get hand inspections, you may want to have your film developed before you fly
