Does your car have to be in great condition for a pizza delivery job?

I'm trying to get a pizza delivery driver job, and the only car I have right now is a somewhat beat-up 1995 ford windstar minivan; I have a 1997 honda accord in great shape, but I can't use it until I buy new rotors and an axle, which I can't do until I have a job. would dominos / pizza hut still consider me? im 18 btw

hey man, you don't need to have a nice car to deliver- as far as i know they don't really have a say as to what you drive as long as it can carry pizzas. in your case, the van might be great since you will have plenty of room!! its more about what will get you the best gas mileage so you dont burn through your... As long as your vehicle is in good running standing, a minivan would be perfect. They'll want you to have a good knowledge of the area that you'll be delivering too more than anything.

as long as your vehicle is legal to be on the road and you're legal to drive it, then it doesn't matter what it is, just so long as you can be polite to customers, seeing as you'll be taking payment and delivering their pizzas and you'd need to know your way around the delivery area, with or without a map.

It has to be decent, be able to do the job, not going to break down, affordable on petrol, capable of carrying pizza and safe. Any questions regarding the actual specifications of your car should be taken up with your manager, they will give you the best answers. Good luck :)
