How much more do you make in the military when youre married?

I'm joining the Air Force soon and becoming a Cryptologic Linguist which is an outstanding job. I'll be able to be an E3 or E4 in my first 6 months... I've read how much the base pay is but how much more will I make a month if I'm married?

not that much more and you have to remeber all that cash is now between you an another person to me honestly not worth it

you are HIGHLY HIGHLY mistaken you will NEVER reach the rank of E-3 or E-4 in 6months it's IMPOSSIBLE ! your not reaching E-5 in the airforce before the 6 year mark as for married you get no higher base pay then anyone at the same rank . you will however get BAH

Your training alone will last longer than 6 months. I doubt you'll be E-4 without even getting done with your language, dude. Here is the pay scales: http://militarypay.defense.gov/mpcalcs/Calculators/RMC.aspx

depending on if you live in base housing quite a bit. If you do live on base housing it wont be very much more, probably about 300$ for comrats, if you live off base youll make BAH depending on rank (higher rank more money) for example, i live off base and and my pay check doubled. As the other posters mentioned, the only increase would be in your BAH with dependents as opposed to without dependents (if you are authorized to live off base... More
