Why do conservatives disregard not only historical facts, but all facts in general?

Is the level of ignorance that high? They are really uneducated. Most of them anyway, it wouldn't be fair to generalize. Not all liberals are smart. But liberals tend to be smarter then the cons. Why do you cons disregard all facts and statistics that don't agree with your opinions and ideology? If they are facts how can you argue against them. Especially if multiple sources have similar statistics, I don't mean facts like the ones Fox news has, which most of the time are false. Unless other sources have similar statistics and facts. Yeah MSNBC and CNN do have their own stupid bias and ridiculous facts. But, Fox news is much worse. There should be unbiased news. Just look at the facts arguing against most of the conservative ideology. Tax cuts and small government just don't work. Pro-business legislation screws the common man over. History proved this. Just because the facts and statistics don't agree with your opinion and your ideology that doesn't mean they are wrong. If there were facts that say that some liberal policies don't work, I would acknowledge the findings and if there were some facts and statistics that proved that conservative policies worked, I would also acknowledge them as well. But, they have to come from a credible source and multiple sources such as experts or news stations, would have to acknowledge the findings. We can admit when we are wrong. For example the stimulus spending should have gone to good sources that could create jobs and not to study ants in Africa or to study a shrimp on a treadmill. Also, I acknowledge that Obama should have made stricter regulations on Wall Street and he didn't. He also promised way too much and when you make a promise you have to deliver. But can you cons admit your mistakes? Can you admit facts that prove that certain beliefs won't work? Can you admit that Bush screwed up? I can admit Obama hasn't made things better. But, he is better then Bush by far. Just in case you argue that cons are more educated. Here are some statistics. Notice that the top 10 states are mostly liberal. Montana can go both ways. It elected two lib senators. Virginia is half democratic and half republican. I am not saying all conservative states are dumb or all liberal states are smart. I am just trying to say that conservatives are less educated since most of the states from 40-50 are conservative, while most of the states from 1-10 are liberal. These are kind of old, but the liberal states are still on top. Now I think that Massachusetts is No.1. Also, most educated people and experts tend to be liberal. The educated community is mostly liberal. Also, some other states can go both ways, so keep that in mind. http://www.statemaster.com/graph/edu_bes_edu_ind-education-best-educated-index http://www.morganquitno.com/edrank.htm http://geography.about.com/b/2006/10/19/smartest-and-not-so-smartest-states-in-the-us.htm Just look at what Bush did. http://www.fairfaxunderground.com/forum/file.php?40,file=38282,filename=debt_changes_under_bush_obama.jpg
