What are good jobs for college students getting a major in psychology?

What are good jobs that help prepare someone for a career as a counselor that I can do while in college and make money? I do plan on getting a masters degree and a Ph.D after receiving my bachelors degree.

Truth be told, unless you already possess an Associate Degree or have 60 College Credits Completed, it is going to be a little difficult to find a job in the field, because most places are requiring that now days. You could always waitress, work at a convince or retail store - but that won't benefit you in getting a job after college. It would be beneficial if you could find a job or paying internship at a doctor's office, hospital or counseling center. Unfortunately, Psychology is one of those majors that doesn't go far as just a Bachelor's Degree. My suggestion is to not major in Psych unless you are planning to go to grad school for your Master's Degree. Any job as a counselor, social worker, or psychologist require a Master's Degree and higher... More
