Environmental engineer vs. Environmental scientist?

What's the difference between the two? What would they do out in the field? Which one would be the one who researches and builds things like solar panels, wind turbines, etc? Or would that be a different job? If so, which one? Thanks! Which job(s) research alternative/renewable energy?
