Would i benefit form increasing my 1 GB RAM on my Toshiba Intel(R) 2CPU 1.73Ghz to 2GB or more RAM?
& is it a simple job of Removing the x2 old 500 Ram & Installing the x2 1GB Ram??

You would likely not benefit from it - but your computer will get more efficient, responsive, and appear faster if you increase its RAM to 2 GB. If you're running a 32-bit system (which I suspect, based on the type of processor you appear to have), I wouldn't try increasing it much beyond a maximum of 3 GB, as it would... More

RAM should only be increased if u r using the system as high end server, or gaming or any other multimedia work..else 1 gb of ram is fine ....

yes and no yesbecause the biggest percentage of speed increase is from going from 1gb to 2gb usually anything after that increases speed in a smaller percentage no because your cpu is less than 2Ghz but I would say if you have the money buy a new computer but if not, upgrading to 2gb is a good alternative

Yes if you raised the RAM level to 2GB from 1GB it will improve the performance of the system. You can open more windows at a time than you can in system of 1GB.
