What do Democrats do for small businesses & the working class?

I read Obama appointed GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt to lead his jobs council, even though GE didn't pay any taxes in 2010. It is hypocritical given what Obama says he's "bothered" that corporations take advantage of loopholes. Do other Democrats (U.S. Senators, etc.) do a better job of voting against tax breaks for corporations?

Not just did GE not pay any taxes, but they're the trailblazer in exporting jobs to China. They've shut down their light bulb manufacturing plants in the US and move all that production to China. Then just recently, they've announced they're moving all their radiological manufacturing from the US to China as well... More

-Attempts to cut down on war by the Dems along with some increased taxes will help reduce debt, allowing for people owning small businesses/workers to receive various benefits for their taxes like education for children and etc... More
