Health insurance you can buy as an individual that does not exclude bi-polar disorder?

My employer does not provide insurance. My husband's employer excludes all mental health from its insurance. Do you know of a company that will sell insurance to someone who has a diagnosis of bi-polar disorder as an individual. An insurance broker told me that all companies exclude all coverage for people with bi-polar disorder. I also understand that if you apply for insurance and get rejected, the mere fact that you were rejected can keep you from getting insurance later from a different company. So, I don't want to apply and get rejected.
