What's it like being a special education teacher?

I've decided I want to teach. I plan to get my bachelors in education soon. I either want to do special education and early childhood education or special education and secondary English. Any information from special Ed teachers would be great!

Being a special education teacher is a demanding job. When you sign on for special education you sign on for many things. Special Ed is bonified hell unless you love children and want to really make a difference. I was in the kindergarten for 3 years. You need a fantastic aid to really progress.
