Dear Sir/Madam I have learned from the AECOM website, the XYZ office is looking for an EIT. As an engineering graduate with interests in civil and water resources engineering, my qualifications should meet the requirements for this position. Please accept the attached resume as application for this job opportunity. I certainly understand responsibility and have a strong work ethic that has been developed through my four year education and summer jobs . I have enthusiastically sought challenging projects that include •Development of a HEC-RAS model to determine suitability of proposed channel and floodplain modifications for various flow scenarios as part of my final year project/thesis. •Development of SWMM models for analysis of stormwater ponds and low impact development practices for a hydraulics/stormwater management course •Design of a stormwater pond and pipes using AutoCad and flow routing analysis using Microsoft Excel as part of my summer job as a CAD operator/Engineering Assistant A demanding course load with the University of XYZ's engineering program in conjunction with challenging summer jobs have prepared me for a career in engineering consulting. I am also hoping to gain experience working on various projects as an EIT while working towards achieving P.Eng status. I strongly believe I can make a difference at AECOM I would like to meet and discuss this job opportunity and how I can contribute my skills and energy to this company. Please contact me via phone or email listed in the attached resume. Sincerely, XYZ ABC
